You know it's time...

...to get back on the Wii Fit wagon when:

- You and hubby BOTH mistake your khaki shorts for his (he's 6' tall and weighs 300+)
- You look at a pic of yourself with your daughter and your initial thought is "Who's that chubba bubba holding my daughter?"
- You tire of mom and mom in law commenting about being around long enough to watch daughter graduate, get married, etc...because you know they're right.
- You discover thanks to a "lame" health screening program at work, that not only are you obese (I prefer "pleasantly plump"), but your cholesterol is high.
- Your doctor says "You're under 200..." as if that's a good thing.

We are back to menu planning, with the help of http://www.sparkpeople.com. My goal will be to drink my 8 cups of water/day...I even havea handy dandy app on my iPhone that helps me track it. That is my goal for the next week. Starting Sunday my goal will be 15 minutes on the Wii Fit three times a week. Any "Avon walks" (distributing Avon materials while walking with my munchkin) will be bonus and not replace my Wii workouts.

Thanks for sticking it out with me! I'll send my current weight via email later. I didn't pay any attention to what the nurse said at my physical this morning.

Quick Check in!

I confess: I have not been as faithful with my water, entering my food intake in The Spark, OR my Wii Fit...however, since my hubby has been planning healthier dinner menus, I have still managed to drop some weight since the New year. How much depends on where I weigh! The Wii Fit board tells me I've lost about 8#. My bathroom scale credits me with about half that. Either way, the virutal "needle" is moving in the right direction!

I have no doubt that when I get fully back on track with just those three things I will be shrinking like crazy! My goal this week is to drink all my water and track it. I have no excuses because I can even do it right on my iPhon!

Stats to Date!

I jumped on my bathroom scale this morning, expecting it to practically congratulate me on my progress. Instead, it pretty much reported what it has been prior to embarking on this adventure. Hmph.

I wasn't sure if I was going to track using the bathroom scale or the Wii Fit scale. I still haven't decided, but what I have record of right now is from the Wii Fit. So, the numbers don't lie. Here are my workout stats and weight stats:

Date: # mins. of exercise Calories burned Weight
12/29/2009 I need to get workout stats off the Wii 185.6

In looking at the preview of this, I need to figure out how to do tables in Blogger!

Getting a Jump Start on My New Year's Resolutions!

For Christmas, my hubby gave me a Cricut Expression and a Wii Fit Plus System! Wahooo! I guess he figured he'd eliminate all my excuses not to achieve my New Years Resolutions!

In 2010 I will get up to date on my daughter's scrapbook. This resolution will be documented in my crafty-mama blog.

I will also lose weight and get healthy (you guessed it, my journey will be documented here!). My first set of goals is not based on pounds to lose. Over at SparkPeople (if you join, please use MRSKPL as your referrer!), my Fast Break goals are:
  • Get 10 minutes of cardio exercise
  • Drink 8 8oz cups of water
  • Listen to a get-up-and-go song every day (I think the Wiggles count!)
Right now my weight loss goal at Spark People is go from my current weight of 192, according to my bathroom scale, to 160 by 12/21/2010. To achieve this goal, I will need to consume between 1510 & 1860 calories per day, and burn 680 calories per week.
